How to refer
Send a letter, and hear back
No referral is needed for patients to see us, but a letter tells us your question.
Step 1: Send the letter
Email it to hello@footanklelowerlimb.com.au and we contact the patient to book. Or send it by HealthLink (our EDI is fallfall) or fax (08 6316 1495), or give it to the patient to book online or by phone.
Step 2: We see the patient
With the practitioner who suits the problem. If they're referred on within the practice, you're told, so the record of who is involved stays accurate.
Step 3: You hear back
A letter after the first consultation, usually within one to five business days, with the diagnosis, the plan, and whether your input is needed. Another follows when there's more to tell you, such as a change of plan or surgery. You can phone the treating practitioner about a shared patient.
Medicare
Rebates apply to podiatry under a GP chronic condition management plan, with a referral letter. Plans made before 1 July 2025 (GPMP and TCA) still count until 30 June 2027. For surgery we give a written estimate and informed financial consent before booking. Surgical podiatry is usually billed privately, with no Medicare rebate.
Urgent cases
Suspected Achilles rupture, infection in a high-risk foot or an acutely painful ingrown toenail are best phoned through on (08) 9316 3010.
