Karratha and the Pilbara

Expert foot and ankle care, without the trip to Perth

Our podiatrists visit Karratha every month. Most problems are treated on the spot; the few that need surgery or specialised equipment are planned so that one trip to Perth does the job.

On visit days

Consultations, ingrown toenail procedures, diabetic foot assessments, injury management, orthotic prescription and children’s podiatry, all in Karratha. Bookings are made through the visit’s host clinic.

Between visits

Telehealth follow-up for anything that does not need hands-on care, and a direct line to the practice for questions about a treatment already underway.

When Perth is needed

Surgery, shockwave and Swift are Perth-only. We plan these around your existing travel, and for fly-in fly-out workers, around your roster.

Visit schedule

We visit every month, consulting from two host clinics. Panaceum Karratha's dates are set six months or more ahead, and Pilbara Therapy's one visit ahead. They're shared with local GPs and the community noticeboards. To be told about the next visit, leave your details with the host clinic or call us.

No visits are booked yet. Call us on (08) 9316 3010 to hear about the next one.

Clinics, services and employers

Health services and community organisations

We work alongside GPs and Aboriginal medical services, and see DVA patients and NDIS participants with self-managed or plan-managed plans. If you coordinate care for people in the Pilbara and would like podiatry on a regular schedule, we would like to hear from you.

Information for clinicians

Mining, construction and site operators

Work boot and footwear programs, lower-limb injury prevention, diabetic foot screening and on-site or camp clinics, delivered under contract with aggregate reporting back to you.

Workplace and occupational health

Why we come to the Pilbara

There is very little expert foot and ankle care north of Perth, and a lot of people whose feet carry them through twelve-hour shifts. We have visited Karratha every month for over three years, and want to do more of it, including giving our graduate podiatrists a rotation in the region.
